A Day On Camp: Out of this World
Last month, the SuperCamps Marketing Team set off for a day at our Summer Fields School Multi-Activity camp. We loved seeing months of planning, training and deliveries finally come together in fantastic activities and workshops.
Arts & Crafts
When we visited, the weekly theme was Out of this World. In the morning, children had a think about what kinds of aliens might live on Planet Betelgoose. Would they be big or small? Fluffy or scaly? Friendly or grumpy?
Afterwards, the children came together in a group to make their ultimate Planet Betelgoose alien who it turns out, has a flare for music! With a trumpet and a horn on their head, this giant alien can play music to all his friends.
Early Years
After break, we went to find out what our Early Years children were up to during their “Time for Me”. In a free play session, children loved dressing dolls and working together to build a tower.
Some of the children are learning English as their second language and our space theme meant tricky words like “astronaut” came to camp. While the group played, our Early Years Practitioner helped these children to read short stories and pick up new words from a space-themed book.
LEGO® Fun
Once we’d finished our healthy lunches, we headed over to find out what LEGO® creations the older children were making. With the help of their Activity Instructor, the children blasted off, creating LEGO® rockets to explore outer space.
Each week this summer, children will enjoy new activities thanks to our Themes of the Week. Find out more about on-camp activities today.
